And according to the HK Show Organizers, the first Filipino to be invited to exhibit in the category.Cherrie Marie was the only Philippine jewelry designer in the group of 30 designers from different countries. Since 2008, the arena has gathered talented designers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherland, United States etc.. The International Designer Arena specially features selected outstanding jewelry designers, silversmiths, goldsmiths and jewelry artists around the world to showcase their imaginative masterpiece and invites were exclusive only to a few chosen jewelry designers.

With Cherrie Marie’s passion for nature and abstract conceptual pieces, what were showcased were glamorous one-of-a-kind collection of Vermeil & Gold, accented with sustainable materials like Ebony wood, an emerging trend for jewelry. All pieces were handcrafted with flourishing design elements. The collection-“ Perception of Nature”- consisting 39 pieces all-original creations.
And what is good about her jewelry artistry is that, Cherrie not only designs & draw but also very hands-on in the production of her pieces. She sculps some components of her designs. She is also knowledgeable in rubber molding & casting. She teaches her artisans the techniques on how to execute her designs . Her being an Architect helps in the development & execution of her designs because she knows how it will work.

It was a successful exhibit and truly an overwhelming experience for Cherrie Marie, apparently one of the most sought after designers in the event. Co-designers, buyers of different nationalities and a few international publications has expressed interests to feature her unique product showcases.
Nevertheless, you will see the Filipino designer’s works of art on 2 International jewelry magazines early next year.

Cherrie Marie is not a typical jewelry designer, thus, Orocher Jewellery Store has far more to offer as they continue to innovate and set the trend for jewelry hand in hand. For more updates, visit www.orocherjewellery.com.ph

Filipino Designer wins GOLD AWARD for “Unwrapped” masterpiece

By: Orocher Jewellery

Orocher Jewellery (Philippines)  announces receipt of the prestigious 'Gold Award"  for bracelet category in the 8th Hongkong International South Sea Pearl Jewelry Design Competition 2011.

Harnessing international recognition for the second time, with its first being a finalist on the same ground and category for "Entangled" in 2009 ,  In-house Jewelry designer - Cherrie Marie Ipapo finally wins the Gold for  "Unwrapped'  masterpiece bracelet this year.

The award was given at a splendid ceremony held as part of the on-going Hong Kong International Jewelry Show 2011 (HKIJS) on March 7, 2011.  With more than 700 designs competing in 7 categories, Cherrie Marie Ipapo  emerged the winner amidst competition for its category.  The award-winning bracelet was put on display before an international audience at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre together with all other winning pieces during the entire event.

Trendsetter
All jewelry winning pieces were judged on creativity,  innovation and craftsmanship…atypical designs that break conventional boundaries, while enhancing the glamour of fine jewelry.  Thus, Orocher Jewellery  works of art will soon set the trend for inimitable jewelry pieces and designer jewelry collections.

Optimism in Jewelry Retailing
The company has garnered a share in the market locally in a span of two years. Fairly new in  the retail industry, and even with diminutive retail experience, there is no stopping the company  from succeeding  from being a plain manufacturer to a fast rising retailer .  Orocher Jewellery owes its success to its very own in-house designer/consultant  who has captured  buyers/patrons  thru  outstanding designs  and decent pricing strategy.  As  designer Cherrie Marie Ipapo‘s philosophy is  that “Jewelry should not be an unattainable luxury.”

Furthermore, the company  is projecting to add another shop within the year due to the growing demand of its clientele and to cater to the South part of the Metro.   Its plan of expansion is focused more on the needs of meticulous collectors for  quality crafted  Sculpture To Wear and soon to wed couples for Distinctive Wedding Rings.
