2011 has been a busy year for International Award-winning Jewelry Designer Cherrie Marie de Guzman-Ipapo ---In-house Designer of OROCHER JEWELLERY, Philippines. After winning the Gold Award for the Bracelet Category in “The 8th HongKong International South Sea Pearl Jewelry Design Competition” last March in Hong Kong organized by the South Sea Pearl Consortium (SSPC) and sponsored by the Hongkong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), once again she has been invited to showcase her unique designer jewelry line in the International Designer Arena last November 24-27, 2011 at the Hong Kong International Jewelry Manufacturers’ Show 2011. http://www.jewelryshows.org/designer.php?lang=en&id=25

And according to the HK Show Organizers, the first Filipino to be invited to exhibit in the category.Cherrie Marie was the only Philippine jewelry designer in the group of 30 designers from different countries. Since 2008, the arena has gathered talented designers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherland, United States etc.. The International Designer Arena specially features selected outstanding jewelry designers, silversmiths, goldsmiths and jewelry artists around the world to showcase their imaginative masterpiece and invites were exclusive only to a few chosen jewelry designers.

With Cherrie Marie’s passion for nature and abstract conceptual pieces, what were showcased were glamorous one-of-a-kind collection of Vermeil & Gold, accented with sustainable materials like Ebony wood, an emerging trend for jewelry. All pieces were handcrafted with flourishing design elements. The collection-“ Perception of Nature”- consisting 39 pieces all-original creations.
And what is good about her jewelry artistry is that, Cherrie not only designs & draw but also very hands-on in the production of her pieces. She sculps some components of her designs. She is also knowledgeable in rubber molding & casting. She teaches her artisans the techniques on how to execute her designs . Her being an Architect helps in the development & execution of her designs because she knows how it will work.

It was a successful exhibit and truly an overwhelming experience for Cherrie Marie, apparently one of the most sought after designers in the event. Co-designers, buyers of different nationalities and a few international publications has expressed interests to feature her unique product showcases.
Nevertheless, you will see the Filipino designer’s works of art on 2 International jewelry magazines early next year.

Cherrie Marie is not a typical jewelry designer, thus, Orocher Jewellery Store has far more to offer as they continue to innovate and set the trend for jewelry hand in hand. For more updates, visit www.orocherjewellery.com.ph
